Responsibilities
As TSP's "Lead Generation Specialist" you will identify, grow and expand our potential business development opportunities by researching, marketing to and developing relationships with key decision-makers within biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
You are competitive, proactive and passionate about business growth and business development. You need the ability to think strategically about complex client organizations of all sizes and understand how to identify and unlock growth opportunities in those accounts through strong prospecting skills, coupled with a deep interest, expertise, and industry passion about what we do. You will think about how we can connect TSP's unique set of integrated talent solutions offerings to solve challenges our clients face. The ability to network and maximize that network to grow business will be valuable.
We are searching for a motivated contributor with a hunter mindset responsible for generating new business by opening doors for our subject matter experts and qualifying leads. In this role, you will provide vision and direction for identifying and qualifying leads on behalf of our TSP's Business Development Directors and Management Team. You will be given direction and the latitude to prospect to companies where you have identified business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Performance in this role will impact TSP's financial performance in three key elements:
- Pipeline opportunity generation
- Growth through assisting to convert identified opportunities into business
- Expanding TSP's client base, contacts and demonstrating teamwork
Additional, Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Actively networking to develop TSP brand awareness and introduce our solutions to prospective business partners through a combination of emails, phone calls, text messages and direct mail. Actively research target organizations and synthetize target lists in coordination with TSP business development leadership. Build and leverage relationships with internal and external partners to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain strong, productive relationships with BD Leadership to understand current business footprint and client map including nature of engagements, scope of offering, existing relationships, potential opportunities, etc.
- Contribute to a working environment, which encourages and supports a positive mindset about the work as well as the client and staff involved. Encourage and demonstrate unity behind Team and Business Development decision-making.
- Collaborate and work within an environment, which encourages teamwork, information sharing and openness to new ideas. Ask open-ended questions to get to the root of issues.
- Demonstrate a desire and aptitude to present in small internal groups.
- Demonstrate the capacity to identify key elements of a potential client opportunity.
- Actively networking to develop TSP brand awareness and our solutions to prospective business partners. Actively research, synthetize and communicate current trends and changes in our industry. Build and leverage relationships with internal and external partners to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with TSP business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve and maintain knowledge of current and future solutions, intellectual property etc. in order to compete and achieve success in this competitive market.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business (Management/Marketing) or a science-related field.
- 1-3 years' related BD experience; knowledge of pharmaceutical or staffing industry, a plus.
- Proven track of successful sales experience, a plus.
- The aptitude to build a lead generation pipeline individually with guidance.
- Must demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm, passion, natural competitiveness, and strong desire to succeed.
- Understanding of therapeutic categories/disease states, a plus.
- Superior presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with developing and executing successful prospecting strategies.
- Must have a strategic mindset.
- Must possess excellent perception & problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly recognize potential business opportunities.
- The ability to work independently while communicating to BD/Sales leadership in real-time.
- Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills and be detail oriented.
- Knowledge and experience working with the following applications: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
