We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Hardware Development Specialist to join our team at Curtiss-Wright Corporation.
About the Role
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex Data Acquisition and Network architecture systems.
- Part of a dynamic engineering team that leads the development of ruggedized embedded systems meeting stringent commercial and military product requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust test hardware and software for design verification and qualification.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering to drive the creation of technical documentation, including flow charts, design specifications, and contribute to end-user product documentation.
- Support and mentor junior engineers, providing technical expertise and leadership in problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in hardware development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of PWB board-level (mixed-signal) hardware.
- Oversight and contribution to FPGA design activities.
- Analyze and enhance existing designs to support ongoing hardware development and performance improvements.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and performance evaluations to optimize hardware bring-up and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- ~5 years of experience in hardware design and development, with expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
- Strong knowledge of power supply design, signal integrity, and high-speed digital interfaces.
- Proficiency in FPGA development using Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience with reliable logic and hardware design for harsh environments.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex design challenges.
- Able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance due to the nature of the work.
