Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney

Job Duties:

• Seeking an attorney to step into a core role supporting and expanding our estate planning, probate, and trust administration practice.

• This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, can manage matters from start to finish, and is comfortable contributing to business development-whether or not you arrive with a book of business.

Estate Planning

• Attend and/or lead client meetings and assess planning goals

• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents

• Advise clients on tax-efficient estate and wealth-transfer strategies

Probate & Trust Administration

• Manage probate proceedings and trust administration matters

• Advise fiduciaries (executors, trustees, beneficiaries)

• Prepare or review estate, income, and gift tax returns

Client Development & Relationships

• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients

• Participate in client development, networking, and referral relationships

• Help grow the practice in a way that aligns with your strengths and interests

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

• Active member of the Connecticut Bar

• 5 years of Trusts & Estates experience

• Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships

• Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills

• Self-starter mindset with a professional, client-focused approach

• Book of business welcome-but not required
