Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.

- PAC Design (Protection, Automation and Control) department is looking for the perfect candidate to fill a full-time contract Drafter position.
- Perform technical and skilled design drafting assignments requiring the application of fundamental engineering and advanced drafting skills to formulate and prepare complex and detailed engineering drawings associated with the construction, modification, and maintenance of power system facilities.
- Uses mostly computer aided drafting (Microstation v8i) to prepare drawings from notes, marked prints, verbal/written instructions, calculations, or rough sketches. Drawings are typically related to power substations or other related facilities.
- Reviews all information received from others or formulated by self for accuracy and completeness to minimize drafting/engineering errors.
- Learns and applies drawing standards on all assigned drafting projects.
- Assists in providing technical assistance and quality assurance for other drafters in support of the design effort.
- Performs production design drafting and/or checking to meet assigned schedules. This will include drawings for both construction work and installation records that reflect precisely how the equipment was installed.
- Manage/organize working files using ProjectWise software.
- MicroStation V8i or AutoCAD experience is preferred.
