- Help supervise part of the firm's associates and support staff
- Overseeing the day to day matters in their assigned cases and helping associates
- Overseeing and reviewing settlement demand letters, complaints, motions
- Taking and Defending some depositions
- Reviewing Discovery for Propounding and Responding
- Handling some Court appearances
- Attending Mediations and Settlement Conferences
- Experience in handling plaintiff wage-and-hour class actions (preferred)
- Experience with employment litigation
- Overseeing Class Certification Motions, Class-wide settlement agreements, preliminary and final approval motions (preferred)
- Helping prepare for trial and attend trial
- Good decision-making and be proactive in moving cases forward.
- Prior experience in employment law and have strong litigation skills, as well as strong writing and research skills.
- Demonstrated interest and prior experience in employment law and a demonstrated interest in representing plaintiffs.
- Prior supervising attorney experience. Must have good leadership and management skills.
- An excellent representative for the firm; be enthusiastic, articulate, professional, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills; work well under pressure, have the ability to prioritize tasks and be able to meet deadlines.
