We are seeking a licensed Structural Steel Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on structural steel engineering tasks while also being open to learning cost estimating for steel projects to support more efficient designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Size structural steel members and design connections.
- Build and draft models using Revit.
- Review shop drawings and erection/crane plans.
- Create and update engineering spreadsheets, calculation packages, and drawing sets.
- Conduct occasional site or fabrication shop visits to assess issues and implement solutions.
- Learn and apply structural steel cost estimating to support project design and budgeting.
- Local candidates preferred (Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, or El Dorado counties).
- PE or SE license required.
- Proven structural engineering experience.
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Revit and Bluebeam preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
