Responsibilities
- Oversee complex individual, corporate, partnership, and other business tax engagements from planning through final review.
- Manage tax compliance workflows and ensure accurate, timely preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
- Research and interpret federal, state, and local tax regulations and apply them to complex tax situations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Review tax returns and workpapers to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Support advisory projects and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with internal team members to achieve client and firm objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- Several years of progressive public accounting experience with increasing tax responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in tax planning, tax compliance, and tax preparation.
- Experience with individual, corporate, partnership, and multi-state tax matters.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience leading tax professionals.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
