Key Responsibilities
- Seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to a diverse, rural patient population.
- The position offers the opportunity to work in an integrated, team-based healthcare environment serving patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics.
- Assess mental health needs of children and adults
- Diagnose and treat psychiatric and mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide comprehensive primary and behavioral healthcare
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Provide medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone
- Collaborate with behavioral health providers, care managers, and clinical support staff
- Maintain effective communication and contribute to a collaborative care environment
- Utilize electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation
- Current Maine PMHNP license required
- Active DEA registration
- Suboxone/MAT prescribing experience or waiver required
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Experience treating both children and adults required
- Proficiency with electronic medical records; AthenaOne experience is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, community healthcare setting
