Responsibilities

• Manage probate, guardianship, and trust litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle estate administration and probate proceedings.
• Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, pleadings, and court filings.
• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, asset distribution, and tax implications.
• Represent clients in probate litigation, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and assist with dispute resolution.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and legal documentation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client communication.
• Provide guidance on related legal matters as needed, including family law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury, workers' compensation, immigration, securities law, environmental law, patent law, and tribal regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in probate, guardianship, trust litigation, and trial advocacy in Florida.
• Strong estate planning and probate administration experience.
• Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw legal research platforms.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Prior law firm experience preferred.
