Responsibilities
- Prepare conceptual budgets, milestone estimates, and final fixed-price proposals.
- Conduct site walkthroughs, gather project information, and perform space measurements/scanning.
- Develop preliminary space layouts and test-fit plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
- Prepare scopes of work, cost breakdowns, and pricing documentation.
- Update budgets throughout design development and track scope changes.
- Develop and maintain cost databases, estimating templates, and pricing systems.
- Review completed projects to compare estimated versus actual costs and improve future pricing accuracy.
- Present budgets to clients and internal teams while explaining estimate assumptions.
- Manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
- Experience estimating commercial interior, restaurant, hospitality, or tenant improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and MEP systems.
- Ability to prepare conceptual estimates from limited design information.
- Experience with space planning, construction drawings, and digital drafting tools.
- Proficiency with construction estimating, takeoff, and cost management software.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
