Our client is seeking a 2-5 years' experienced Litigation Attorney (Settlement) to manage post-litigation settlements, court filings, client communications, and staff oversight.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate Wage & Hour, PAGA, class action, and individual settlement agreements.
- Prepare class notices, settlement distributions, motions, supplemental briefs, amended complaints, proposed orders, and related declarations.
- Attend court hearings, including preliminary/final approval motions, status conferences, and accounting hearings.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and settlement administrators; review notices, verify calculations, and update client information.
- Track deadlines, supervise staff, manage filings, and ensure timely receipt and distribution of settlement funds, including coordinating with the firm's accountant.
- 2-5 years of experience handling litigation and settlement matters.
- Licensed to practice law in California (CA).
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating settlement agreements, motions, and related filings.
- Strong communication skills with clients, opposing counsel, and settlement administrators.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, track deadlines, make court appearances, and oversee staff or administrative processes related to settlements.
- Salary: $140,000-$170,000 per year.
