Position Overview

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to attorneys and paralegals. The ideal candidate will have prior legal experience, with litigation exposure preferred, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support to 1-3 attorneys/paralegals
• Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and case-related materials
• Manage and retrieve documents within an electronic document management system
• Electronically file documents with courts (state and federal)
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and track deadlines
• Handle time entry, billing support, and invoice preparation
• Submit invoices through electronic billing systems
• Open new client files and perform conflict checks
• Communicate with clients, court personnel, and witnesses regarding case matters
• Prepare data summaries and reports
• Coordinate with external vendors for case-related services
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior legal assistant experience required
• Litigation experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
