Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- File documents electronically through PACER, MDEC, and other court filing systems.
- Transcribe attorney dictation accurately and efficiently.
- Organize, maintain, and manage electronic and physical case files utilizing document management systems, including NetDocuments.
- Assist with litigation preparation, case management, and document organization.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate appointments, and arrange travel as needed.
- Draft routine legal documents, contracts, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain case-related information and records.
- Support attorneys in meeting court deadlines and managing active litigation schedules.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Legal Assistant experience in a law firm environment.
- Strong litigation support experience preferred.
- Typing speed of at least 85 words per minute.
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, proofreading, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with PACER, MDEC, and electronic court filing procedures.
- Familiarity with NetDocuments or similar document management systems preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, grammar, and proofreading skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
