What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forensic Mechanical Engineer position at Synectics Inc?
Position Responsibilities
Lead forensic investigations involving mechanical failures and product performance
Perform root cause analyses using accepted scientific and engineering methodologies
Prepare clear, persuasive, and defensible expert reports
Provide deposition and trial testimony
Consult with attorneys on technical issues and case strategy
Review and rebut opposing expert opinions
Mentor and elevate junior engineers
Required Credentials & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS or PhD preferred)
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Minimum of 5 deposition testimonies as an expert witness
At least 1 trial testimony as a testifying expert
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and persuasively
High ethical standards and comfort working under legal scrutiny
