- Provide oversight to the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Technical Recommendations: Offer technical recommendations on electrical activities during construction.
- Electrical Work: Oversee low and medium voltage work, including field connections to solar panels and the next tracker system.
- Verification: Ensure that all electrical work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Safety Oversight: Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- This role is crucial for ensuring the successful and safe execution of the electrical components of the solar farm project in Hobbs, NM.
- Working with contractors to ensure technical and safety oversight.
- Oversight of the day-to-day field activities.
- Ensuring those connections to the solar panels are secured and eventually it will get more involved when the project moves to the inverters; this resource will be ensuring that everything is wired and working properly with the inverter.
- Shift time 7 AM - 5:30 PM.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is highly preferred, though not required.
- Electrical Experience: 7-10 Years of Experience: Extensive experience with low and medium voltage electrical work.
- Solar Construction: Specific experience within the electrical discipline for solar construction is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: NEXTracker System: Familiarity with the NEXTracker system, which is a positioning system software for solar panels, would be highly beneficial.
- Safety Expertise: Safety Champion: Must prioritize and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- A strong background in electrical work, with at least 7 years of experienc
- Strong communication, positive attitude.
- Highly collaborative.
- 7-10 years of experience/ electrical inspector.
- Great to see previous EPC experience from Mortenson, Blattner construction. Or owners' rep side experience; National Grid, Nexterra, Duke Energy, etc.
