Key Responsibilities
- We're looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team in Wichita.
- You'll help design and support various bridge and transportation projects, including new structures, rehabilitations, inspections, and related designs such as retaining walls, sound walls, and traffic control plans.
- Assist in the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county, and municipal projects.
- Support the Project Manager in all phases of bridge design and production.
- Provide guidance and support to design and production staff.
- Help prepare proposals, presentations, and client interviews.
- Attend client meetings to ensure project goals are met.
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 1-5 years of experience in transportation or bridge design projects (DOT, municipal, or county).
- Knowledge of bridge design, roadway design, and hydraulics.
- Experience with Civil 3D or MicroStation (OpenRoads, InRoads, or Geopak).
- Experience with MDX or LEAP Bridge preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- PE license in Kansas preferred (or ability to obtain soon).
- Familiarity with local standards and requirements preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
