Our challenge

We are looking for an experienced UI Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join our digital experience team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces and reusable AEM components that power our web properties.

 

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, NJ is $$80K to $85K per annum & benefits (see below).

 

 

 

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain AEM components, templates, and client libraries using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Build responsive, cross-browser compatible UIs following modern front-end best practices
  • Work with Sightly/HTL (HTML Template Language) to bind front-end markup to AEM back-end data
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, functional components
  • Customize and extend AEM''s Touch UI / Classic UI dialogs, widgets, and authoring experience
  • Integrate front-end code with AEM''s Sling framework and back-end Java/OSGi services
  • Optimize page performance, load times, and Core Web Vitals
  • Implement and maintain design systems / component libraries within AEM
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD deployment processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects across authoring and publish environments
  • Ensure accessibility (WCAG/ADA) compliance across all developed components
  • Collaborate with backend AEM developers, QA, and content authors in an Agile/Scrum environment.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Strong UI/front-end development experience
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x)
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SASS/LESS, JavaScript (ES6 ), and jQuery
  • Experience with AEM component development, Sightly (HTL), and client library management
  • Experience with responsive/mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, Gulp, npm/yarn)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
  • Strong debugging skills using browser dev tools
