We are seeking an experienced Technology Business Systems Consultant to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and delivering scalable technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in business analysis, system integration, data analysis, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery, with the ability to translate complex business needs into effective technology solutions that drive business value.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and system requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, backlog grooming, and stakeholder meetings.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support system integration initiatives by defining data mappings, interface requirements, and API specifications.
- Perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and impact assessments for proposed system changes.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, defect tracking, and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement documents (FRD), and process diagrams.
- Work closely with data teams to analyze data quality, reporting requirements, and business metrics.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Support production implementations, issue resolution, change management, and post-production support activities.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience as a Business Systems Consultant, Technology Business Systems Consultant, Business Analyst, or related role.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and stakeholder management.
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Functional Specifications.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
- Strong knowledge of system integration concepts, APIs, data flows, and enterprise application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, reporting, and data validation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation, modernization, or digital initiatives.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred, but not required:
- Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Insurance domain experience.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, or Workday.
- Knowledge of data governance, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.
- Experience supporting API-driven and microservices-based architectures.
- Exposure to cloud migration and digital transformation programs.
- Knowledge of process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum Master, or related certifications.
- Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, or Intelligent Automation initiatives.
