Our Challenge:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise ServiceNow solutions with a strong focus on Generative AI (GenAI), intelligent automation, and Agentic AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, strong enterprise architecture skills, and proven experience designing solutions that leverage workflow automation, AI/ML, virtual agents, predictive intelligence, large language models (LLMs), and autonomous/agentic orchestration patterns. This person will partner with business and technology leaders to deliver innovative, secure, and business-aligned solutions that improve productivity, decision making, and service outcomes.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, NJ is “$130K - $140K/year & benefits (see below).
The Role:
- Own the platform vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and business objectives.
- Provide architectural direction so that all solution designs adhere to platform standards and industry-leading practices.
- Design and maintain governance frameworks for instance strategy, integrations, and data architecture.
- Chair platform governance forums, driving consistent decision-making across internal teams and delivery partners.
- Evaluate emerging ServiceNow capabilities and lead proof-of-concept initiatives that expand platform value.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of ServiceNow programs, from planning through post-deployment optimization.
- Identify and mitigate platform risks related to scalability, performance, and technical debt.
- Champion the adoption of architectural best practices across business stakeholders, partners, and ServiceNow teams.
- Provide structured feedback to ServiceNow product and engineering teams to influence product direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution strategy, and program leadership.
- Deep subject-matter expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, HAM, SAM, CSM, HRSD, IRM, SPM/PPM) and custom application development using App Engine.
- Experience with GenAI, automation, or Agentic AI capabilities (e.g., Now Assist, Virtual Agent, Moveworks) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to engage at the executive level, influencing platform direction and business outcomes.
- Track record of designing multi-workflow, enterprise-scale architectures and governance models.
- Ability to operate as a program-level architect, guiding multiple teams and partners toward a unified technical vision.
- Expertise in platform strategy, integration patterns, and complex delivery governance.
- ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) highly desirable; additional architecture or governance framework certifications are a plus.
