Our challenge

We are seeking a talented Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Kafka, and Angular to build robust, scalable, and secure web applications. Candidate will work across the entire technology stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA/ Dallas, TX is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Develop and implement front-end features utilizing Angular to create a seamless user experience.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and message brokers such as Kafka for efficient data processing.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate them to improve application functionality and performance.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, system design, and documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Java Full Stack Developer with a strong understanding of Java 8, 11, and 17.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Solid understanding of front-end development with Angular.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
