Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead Java Full Stack Developer with extensive experience in React to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications, ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and mentor junior developers.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of end-to-end web applications using Java and React.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services and APIs.
• Build responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces with React.js.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their technical skills.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience in full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred).
• Proven experience building and deploying RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6 ).
• Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, npm.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Prior experience in a lead or mentoring role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or Enzyme.
