Our Challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PLSQL Developer with pyspark development experience to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Developer, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Oracle-based solutions to meet our business needs.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX, NJ is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Oracle an Oracle database application, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages.
• Perform data modelling, schema design, and database optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes between Oracle and other systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure code quality and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with the latest Oracle technologies and practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
• Operate with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Significant 10-12 years of experience in Oracle SQL programming and development
• Deep understanding of PySpark development principles, including RDDs, DataFrames,transformations, and actions, with ability to write optimized, scalable Spark jobs.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and how they apply within PySpark formodular, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines using PySpark and related big data tools,ensuring efficient ingestion, processing, and delivery of large datasets.
• Hands-on knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN) and Hive for distributeddata storage and query optimization.
• Experience in deep data analysis, triaging, identifying data gaps, patterns, and behaviors tosupport enhancements and user requests.
• Experience working with large data sets (~100 million records) and optimizing performance forscalability.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in modernized database environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Spark jobs for performance, including partitioning strategies,caching, and understanding of Spark execution plans.
• Ability to lead migration of legacy database modules over to big-data stack
