Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications, ensuring seamless operations and integration with modern tools.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX/Pittsburgh, PA is $85-$95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using JCL, CICS, and related technologies.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting on the mainframe environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve system performance.
• Utilize TSO/ISPF for job submission, data set management, and scripting.
• Manage file transfers and data exchange using NDM.
• Schedule and monitor batch jobs using CA7 (optional).
• Use GitHub for version control and collaboration on codebases.
• Ensure system security, stability, and adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Mainframe systems and platforms.
• Expertise in TSO/ISPF environment.
• Hands-on experience with NDM (Network Data Mover).
• Strong knowledge of CICS and JCL scripting.
• Experience with CA7 job scheduling (optional but preferred).
• Familiarity with GitHub for source code management.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
