Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Lead with strong hands-on development experience and expertise in .NET Core to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader, capable of guiding development teams, defining architectural standards, and actively participating in development tasks.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX/Pittsburgh, PA is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design for .NET-based applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Drive the adoption of best practices within the development team, including containerization, microservices, and cloud deployments.
- Hands-on development in .NET Core, including coding, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting.
- Define and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and architectural principles.
- Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, data flow diagrams, and API documentation.
- Mentor and support development teams on best practices, design patterns, and new technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and frameworks to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure application security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in architecture roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 5 .
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Solid knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and related tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
