Our Challenge:
We are seeking an experienced Java Lead Developer to oversee the design, development, and migration of GIAS interface systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive Java development experience, and proven expertise in GIAS interface integration and migration projects.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, NJ is $110K - $120K/year & benefits (see below).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Java-based applications with a focus on GIAS interface.
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and efficient Java solutions to meet business requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end migration process of GIAS interfaces, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, system architects, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
- Document technical specifications and migration procedures.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and compliance regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Java Developer/Lead with a strong understanding of Java EE/Spring framework.
- Hands-on experience with GIAS interface integration and development.
- Extensive experience in application migration, particularly GIAS interface migration.
- Strong knowledge of database systems and SQL.
- Familiarity with APIs, Web Services, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with legacy system migration.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Prior experience in banking/financial or government sectors (if relevant).
