Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Chiropractor or Physical Therapist with at least one year of hands-on clinical experience, preferably working with patients recovering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) or post-concussive conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in active rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, and functional movement-based treatment. This role focuses on providing evidence-based, patient-centered care to support recovery of balance, coordination, mobility, and daily functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on, active rehabilitation for patients with TBI, post-concussive symptoms, and neurologic functional impairments.
- Perform comprehensive assessments addressing balance, vestibular function, cervical biomechanics, musculoskeletal dysfunction, and functional mobility.
- Provide vestibular therapy including gaze stabilization, habituation exercises, balance training, and canalith repositioning techniques when indicated.
- Implement individualized treatment plans incorporating physical therapy, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and occupation-based strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers including neurologists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Record clear, accurate clinical documentation aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, safety, pacing strategies, and return-to-work/return-to-activity protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in TBI rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, and functional neurorehabilitation.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), or Master's/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active state license in good standing (or license eligibility).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, neurology, vestibular rehab, or related fields.
- Experience working with traumatic brain injury, concussion, or complex neurologic presentations strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in hands-on assessment and treatment, including soft-tissue work, joint mobilization, corrective exercise, and neuromuscular retraining.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
Preferred Experience
- Certifications or additional training in vestibular rehabilitation.
- Experience with return-to-play or return-to-work protocols.
- Prior work in multidisciplinary or neurorehab settings.
