Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Front Desk Medical Assistant located in Missouri City, TX.
This position serves as the first point of contact for patients, making strong communication skills essential. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, organized, and able to create a welcoming and supportive experience for every patient interaction.
Responsibilities include managing front desk operations, greeting patients in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring smooth daily office workflows. This role also supports clinical operations through documentation assistance and coordination with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary front desk contact for patients with professionalism and empathy
- Clearly and effectively communicate with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Schedule and manage patient appointments with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain and update medical records and documentation within the EHR system
- Assist with patient intake and basic clinical administrative support
- Ensure smooth daily workflow and coordination across the office
- Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries with strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience in Medical Assisting and patient-facing support roles
- Strong understanding of Medical Terminology and Medical Records management
- Familiarity with medical office workflows and administrative processes
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) — critical for patient interaction and coordination
- Proficiency with scheduling systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification is a plus
- Prior experience in psychiatry or behavioral health is strongly preferred
