We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026β2027 school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities based on their individual learning goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of services and outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral supports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Commitment to student success and inclusive educational practices
