We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities based on their individual learning goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of services and outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral supports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Commitment to student success and inclusive educational practices
