Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. As an RBT, you will implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and provide support in various settings, including home, school, and community environments. Your role will be crucial in helping clients achieve their goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Provide direct support to clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health concepts.
- Ability to assist with patient care and understand medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for maintaining medical documentation and records.
