- Will directly report to the Director of Rehabilitation and will work under Facility Administration
- Rehabilitation technicians have duties to support patients and therapists during rehab therapy services delivery.
- Patient care: Assist therapists with patient care, including preparing treatments and exercises, and monitoring patients during sessions
- Patient transport: Help patients get to and from treatment areas
- Treatment areas: Prepare treatment areas and equipment, and clean and sanitize them after each patient
- Safety: Ensure the safety of patients and premises by sterilizing equipment, disposing of hazardous materials, and maintaining cleanliness
- Administrative tasks: Assist with administrative duties as deemed appropriate by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Recommended, but not necessary…Certificate of Rehab Technician training.
- Therapy experience in rehabilitation for skilled nursing, or long-term care.
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation environment would be an asset in consideration for this position.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Possess a passion for working in a retirement community with a geriatric population.
