Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Carrollton, TX. The Tutor will be responsible for delivering personalized instruction to students using Sylvan’s proven methods and technology. The Tutor will use individualized lesson plans, provide feedback to students, and communicate progress to Directors and parents as needed. Additionally, the Tutor will support students in various subjects, including math, reading, writing, and test prep.
Qualifications
- Excellent instructional and teaching skills
- Strong knowledge in math, reading, writing, and test preparation
- Experience in using educational technology (iPads)
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and communicate progress to parents
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; teaching certification is a plus
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to different teaching styles
