We are seeking a person who loves to teach, full-stop! The ideal Sylvan Teacher will have a strong background in working with children of different age groups and who need support in many different academic areas. Sylvan teachers are required to come to work on time, teach our awesome kids in a 3 to 1 ratio, and then go home! Sylvan teachers are not required to develop curriculum, create or grade homework, create or grade quizzes/tests, or meet with parents. This job requires that you care so much about kids that you just have to put in more teaching time after-school and on Saturdays to help them achieve the success that you know is possible.

Skills
- Patience - We know that our students are often coming from a full day of school and will need our peace and patience to help them complete their tasks.

- Reading and writing upside-down - While this skills is not required, it's highly recommended :-). Our students are quite impressed when their Sylvan teachers can read their work without having to spin it around. Their jaws drop when their Sylvan teacher writes sight words upside down perfectly on our dry-erase tables during instruction.
