Job Summary:
Team Leadership & Operations
- Supervise and coordinate Service Technicians and Team Leaders to ensure efficient work schedules.
- Communicate repair plans clearly to Technicians, aligning them with customer quotes.
- Monitor productivity and quality of repairs, providing coaching and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support Technicians with first-level assistance and escalate technical issues when necessary.
- Manage service logistics to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in operations.
- Review and develop quotes for accuracy, keeping customers informed of repair status and changes.
- Participate in continuous improvement by refining processes to meet evolving customer and organizational goals.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing repair issues promptly and resolving warranty concerns effectively.
Preventative & Corrective Maintenance
- Develop, maintain, and execute a preventative maintenance program that minimizes emergency service disruptions across client facilities, including critically-controlled environments such as hospitals and data centers
- Ensure all work orders are completed to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety consistent with Syenergy's reputation for "under promise, over deliver"
- Manage inventory, monitor purchase orders, and approve invoices to keep operations running efficiently
Contractor & Project Oversight
- Evaluate contractor projects upon completion to ensure quality and contract compliance, in line with Syenergy's rigorous client accountability standards
- Conduct inspections and quality control to verify readiness and performance across facilities
Technical Skills
- Diagnose and resolve HVAC issues including RTUs, AHUs, split systems, chillers, boilers, and computer room air conditioning
- Troubleshoot building automation system-adjacent mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform advanced plumbing, electrical work (high and low voltage awareness), drywall, carpentry, appliance repair, tile and vinyl installation
- Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams relevant to integrated building systems
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of the on-call rotation
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical field teams
- EPA 608 Certification (if not currently held, must be obtained within 120 days of start via company-paid training)
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices in mechanical/electrical environments
- Strong HVAC experience
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Excellent communication skills with clients, co-workers, and contractors
- Proficiency with technology including software, apps, and field service platforms
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (multi-site travel required)
- Willingness to respond to emergencies outside normal business hours
Preferred
- Experience in commercial, healthcare, or industrial facility maintenance — especially environments requiring precision and compliance
- Familiarity with building automation systems (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Tridium/Vykon, Distech, KMC, or similar) is a strong plus
