A general knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding, process and part terminology, and sampling plans is required.

Position Summary

A general knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding, process and part terminology, and sampling plans is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively performing process and visual inspections during production, in process inspection, final inspection audits, perform dimensional analysis, First Article Inspection
- Complete metrology tasks using hand measurement tools, optical and digital inspection equipment
- Performs audit on products produced and accurately records results
- Audit production records, scan and create digital files
- Must pass vision and color tests
- Inspector must have MS Word & Excel spreadsheet knowledge. Data entry and some basic statistical/math knowledge is required.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work un-supervised and well with others – in a team environment. Must be able to train others on quality criteria and gauging techniques
- A general knowledge of ISO 9001 is needed, must comply with Company ISO policies and procedures
- Inventory Control experience a plus
- Prior Plastic Injection Molding Operation and Inspection experience
- Must be able to properly use precision measuring and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges (drop, pin, go/no-go), and other related inspection tools, with the ability to accurately measure and verify product specifications.
- Must have high school or trade school diploma or minimum of five years in the trade or suitable equivalent.
