๐ง Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Transportation Network Lead to support a large-scale U.S. transportation network transformation. This role will play a critical part in executing and stabilizing a new logistics model in partnership with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for candidates with strong transportation and supply chain experience who thrive in fast-paced, change-driven environments.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support across U.S. transportation operations, including last mile distribution, replenishment, and international shipments
- Collaborate with 3PL partners and carriers to ensure successful execution of transportation strategies
- Support transportation RFP processes, including requirements definition, bid evaluation, and onboarding
- Monitor carrier and 3PL performance using KPIs such as:
- On-time pickup and delivery
- Tender acceptance
- Route guide compliance
- Exception management
- Analyze transportation data to identify cost savings, service improvements, and operational efficiencies
- Ensure adherence to transportation plans, route guides, and standard operating procedures
- Assist in the rollout of new service offerings (e.g., white glove delivery, returns, specialized handling)
- Partner cross-functionally with warehouse, planning, and customer service teams
- Provide regular updates to leadership, including risks, trends, and recommendations
- Support post go-live stabilization and continuous improvement efforts
โ Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of U.S. transportation networks and multi-modal shipping (parcel, LTL, truckload, etc.)
- Experience working with or alongside 3PL providers
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret transportation data to drive decision-making
- Experience supporting transportation RFPs, SOP development, and carrier performance management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
โญ Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TMS platforms (Blue Yonder preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE a plus)
- Strong project management skills
- Financial acumen with the ability to balance cost, service, and risk
