Primary Responsibilities:
You know what's hitting before it hits. You're plugged into culture, you understand creators, and you know how to build a brand that people actually care about — not just follow. As Sr. Buzz Manager, you own Swoon's presence: social strategy, influencer and creator partnerships, PR, events, and the college ambassador program. You're the through-line that keeps the brand sharp and consistent across every channel. You'll work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and marketing team, with a clear focus on brand awareness and cultural relevance. The job is equal parts strategic and executional — you think in systems but you're not afraid to get in the weeds.

What You’ll Achieve:
Marketing Management
- Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams as needed to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.
- Work with Director of Shopper and Field Marketing to develop and implement an integrated marketing communications plan.
Paid Influencer Management
- Develop creator strategy to uplevel Swoon’s presence and awareness across priority social channels.
- Identify and negotiate creator and influencer contracts to achieve set forth KPIs.
- Identify and develop relationships with key creators & influencers who are on-brand and will drive the Swoon message forward with their audience.
- Maintain ongoing communications with influencers, optimizing influencer relationships to achieve aligned to KPIs.
- Where applicable, identify, brief and manage agency partners to ensure KPIs are achieved.
Partnerships Management
- Identify and outreach of like minded brand partners.
Social Media Support & Team Management
- Lead the development and execution of the social strategy and priorities to drive Swoon presence on our owned social media platforms.
- Ensure development of robust content calendar to meet or exceed KPIs.
- Manage and work with Social Media & Community Coordinator to ensure social calendar tells the Swoon story, supports retail, and increases brand loyalists
IRL Activations
Brand Owned
- Responsible for creating and executing creator focused events to drive relationships and worldbuilding.
Sponsorships
- Identify and negotiate sponsorship of brand events.
Public Relations
- Work closely with CGO, as you manage our PR consultant to drive a robust PR plan that drives buzz with trade and lifestyle media.
- Collaborate with PR consultant to build an exciting PR calendar around Swoon-worthy pitches to result in earned media placements.
Who You Are:
- 5 years of influencer, social media, and general marketing experience (preferably in lifestyle industry like beauty/fashion)
- Obsessed with social and creator world!
- Experience with influencer & social platforms like Sprout Social and Tribe Dynamics, or quick learner who is eager to pick up new skills
- Proactive problem solver & self-starter, able to work without existing process and structure
- Experience with Marketing KPI’s and driving to results
- Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to come up with new ideas, execute, and report back
- Natural creative with a pulse on current market trends and social trends
- Outgoing personality – willing to talk to anyone. Engaging with influencers, partners, and consumers comes naturally!
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal), ability to create and follow a timeline, you work with a sense of urgency and are familiar with the demands of fast-moving start-ups!
- Strong organization and time management skills
- You are independent and reliable – you know how to take direction and run with it

Additional Information:
NYC-based with expectation to work at least 2 days/week in Midtown, NYC office, up to 3 days a week for events/team gatherings/etc
· Travel out of market based on marketing needs (ie. Influencer events and activations, tradeshows)
