Swoon is actively hiring a Scrum Master to join the team!
What your day-to-day will look like?
- Serve as the Scrum Master for Agile delivery teams, facilitating Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies while ensuring teams follow Scrum best practices and continuously improve.
- Partner closely with platform engineering teams supporting infrastructure-as-code, cloud migrations, CI/CD pipelines, and platform services to drive efficient delivery and Agile maturity.
- Build and strengthen Agile delivery practices from the ground up, coaching teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Scrum principles, team accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and maintain healthy product backlogs by working with Product and Engineering teams to ensure priorities, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint readiness are clearly defined and aligned to business objectives.
- Identify, visualize, and proactively manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and blockers, coordinating with stakeholders and other teams to keep initiatives on track and minimize delivery delays.
- Leverage Jira, Jira AI, and Copilot tools to support backlog refinement, sprint planning, reporting, documentation, and communication while increasing delivery transparency and team productivity.
- Track and communicate Agile delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, sprint predictability, and team performance, providing leadership with visibility into progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
What’s Required / Technical Skills
- 3 years of Scrum Master or Agile Delivery experience supporting software development, platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud-focused teams.
- 3 years of big retail experience required!
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including facilitation of Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, backlog refinement, and sprint execution.
- Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, workflow tracking, reporting, and Agile team coordination.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach teams, influence without authority, and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, and Leadership.
- 3 years of Experience working with platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or CI/CD-focused teams, including familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud migrations, and shared services environments.
- Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies, while maintaining transparency and keeping delivery efforts on track.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery metrics and continuous improvement practices, including velocity, cycle time, predictability, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, and team maturity coaching.
- Experience using Jira AI and Microsoft Copilot to improve planning, reporting, documentation, and team productivity.
- Scrum certifications such as CSM, PSM I, or SAFe Scrum Master.
- Experience helping organizations build Agile practices from the ground up or improving Agile maturity within existing teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and platform engineering organizations.
- Experience supporting teams that function as shared services across multiple product teams.
