Title: Payroll Operations Specialist / Analyst
Pay: $36-$40 per hour
Type: Onsite 5x a week , Pheonix AZ
Key Responsibilities:
- Processes payroll data accurately by the required deadline
- Consistently applies company policy and government regulations to all processing
- Maintains the security and confidentiality of all payroll related information
- Reviews audit reports for accuracy and requests corrections as necessary
- Researches team member inquiries and provides solutions as required in a timely manner
- Knowledgeable of labor agreements and applicable processing requirements to specific workforce groups, such as unions
- Organizes and maintains records utilizing special processing that reduces the occurrences of incorrect payments to employees
- Adheres to existing SOX processing maps and requirements
- Assists in special projects, system testing, and other duties as assigned
- Documents and updates procedures
- Analyzes business processes, making changes as necessary to increase efficiencies, adhering to existing SOX processing maps and requirements
- Analyze large amounts of data using Microsoft tools such as Excel/Macros
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent training/experience
- 3 years of working in a high volume, multi-state payroll department and/or payroll, accounting or human resource experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payroll systems (SAP preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience/training
