Avionics Engineer
100% onsite - Fort Worth, TX
6-month contract to start - 1/05/2026 target start date
What You'll Do:
- Apply your expertise with Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) systems and have the opportunity to customize AOC software solutions to meet specific operational needs.
- Work hands-on with Airline Modifiable Information (AMI) software components (including FDCF, ACMF, DCMF, etc.). Experience with customization tools like GBST is highly desired.
- Author, revise, and create essential aircraft documentation, including Engineering Orders (EOs) and Engineering Authorizations (EAs), ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Oversee and coordinate the distribution and loading of aircraft software to the fleet, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Act as a subject matter expert, utilizing knowledge of Aircraft Manuals (AMM, IPC, etc.) to support maintenance and operational teams.
- Manage major engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Bring (Required Skills):
- Proven experience as an engineer working directly with aircraft avionics or related systems.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Aircraft AOC systems.
- Demonstrated experience in authoring, revising, and creating Engineering Orders (EOs) and Engineering Authorizations (EAs).
- Expertise in managing complex technical projects and maintaining a strict project schedule.
- Familiarity with the content and application of standard Aircraft Manuals (e.g., AMM, IPC).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
