Title: Release Manager
Workplace type: hybrid- 3 days onsite, Tuesday-Thursday in Bolingbrook, IL (M-F, 40 hour work week)
Type: Contract
Pay: $64.50 exactly/no flex-on w2- must be able to work on w2 with no sponsorship now or in future
Length: ongoing-tbd after 10/23 @ 3pm
Iv process: 2 rounds- first is virtual 1 hour, second is panel onsite
Screenings: full panel drug and background once hired

Must haves:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in release management.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git, and Confluence.
- Microservices, front-end and back-end knowledge
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and technology
- Experience working with multiple systems/teams
- self-motivated
Preferred:
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or related frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
Release Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage release schedules, identify dependencies and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless release execution.
- Align release plans with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Release Execution
- Lead deployment activities across production and non-production environments.
- Ensure all changes meet quality, compliance, and security standards.
- Conduct release readiness assessments and provide post-release support.
Process Optimization
- Continuously improve release processes and workflows.
- Promote best practices in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps.
- Maintain documentation for release policies and procedures.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with releases.
- Develop and implement rollback strategies for failed deployments.
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related matters.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on release status and challenges.
