As a Machinist working for Swisher International, Inc. You will have the opportunity to create state-of-the-art production equipment as well as implement new equipment/machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate grinders, lathes, milling machines, and drilling processes
- Read and understand blueprints
- Take precise measurements and make calculations
- Develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
- Reverse engineering of replacement equipment parts
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship – Journeyman Card required
- Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction
- Collaborative mindset and work style
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and exposed to warm or cold temperatures
- Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
