Senior Planner (Temporary Assignment)

Culver City, CA | 4 Days Per Week | 6-Month Assignment

Are you an experienced urban planning professional looking to make an immediate impact? We are seeking a Senior Planner to support a busy municipal Planning and Development Department on a temporary assignment through December 2026.

What You'll Do

• Manage complex development entitlement projects
• Review zoning code amendments, staff reports, and decision letters
• Provide technical planning expertise and recommendations
• Supervise and mentor planning staff
• Coordinate projects with internal departments, developers, and stakeholders
• Help keep critical development projects moving forward efficiently
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of planning experience
• Strong knowledge of land use, zoning, and entitlement processes
• Experience reviewing and preparing staff reports
• Previous supervisory or project leadership experience
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced municipal environment
