We are hiring a CAD Designer for an onsite role in Chanhassen, MN!
Details:
- $35 - $50 per hour pay rate
- Full Time
- Contract - 1 year
- Schedule: M-F CST 8am - 4:30pm
- Onsite in Chanhassen MN

- 3 years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries (Semiconductor equipment experience is a plus).
- Associate's degree in a Mechanical Engineering related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (CSWA/CSWP preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D). Experience with Agile/PLM systems is a plus.
- Strong ability to read and create/edit PandIDs, schematics, and other product documentation.
- SolidWorks and SW PDM Experience
- Being able to understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PandID)
- Familiarity with design intent and Design for X in an assembly work environment
- Design and Modeling: Use SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical drawings from concepts and "red-lined" documents. Create and maintain mechanical area layouts.
- PandID and Documentation: Read, edit, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PandIDs), schematics. Follow and contribute to mechanical design Best Practices
- BOM: Create and review mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and aid in mechanical components recommendations according to selection standards
- Change Management: Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process documentation.
- Manufacturing Support: Interface directly with production employees to resolve design issues on as needed.
- Project Support: Work in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specification, plus aid in design reviews
