Thomasville, GA Area | Full-Time | Onsite

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, maintaining inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring production needs are met through effective purchasing and planning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure materials and monitor inventory levels to support production schedules
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and sourcing initiatives
• Analyze material requirements, lead times, and costs to ensure supply continuity
• Oversee Kanban replenishment programs and daily purchasing reports
• Create and maintain supplier agreements, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve material and supplier issues
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Maintain part and supplier data within ERP systems
• Assist with engineering change orders (ECOs), supplier communications, and purchase order updates
• Monitor supplier performance, issue corrective actions when needed, and participate in supplier audits
• Support inventory audits, accounts payable reconciliation, and receiving issue resolution
• Generate supplier scorecards and performance reports
• Participate in safety initiatives and procurement process improvement efforts
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or a related field preferred
• 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• SAP or ERP system experience required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze bills of materials, costs, and lead times
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Supply chain certifications or related coursework are a plus
