Golf Cart Attendant

Job Description

SUMMARY
The Cart Attendant will meet and greet all customers while meeting their golf cart needs. The Cart Attendant’s primary responsibility is to inspect the condition of golf carts with specific attention to cleanliness and appearance. The Cart Attendant is also responsible for the storing and rotation of golf carts and the overall cleanliness of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition and fueling and/or recharging. As well as the rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage amongst the fleet.
• Keep in contact with the golf shop counter to assure efficient transition for golfer to the course.
• Must be able to follow procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart and range operations.
• Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets and range balls. Along with range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment.
• Will be able to keep all working areas attractive, neat and clean free of trash and waste. Also responsible for tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for day to day operations.
• Meets and greets all customers with excellent customer service while addressing any minor problems/complaints from customers and referring major problems to manager and/or superintendent.
• Performs others duties as directed by his or her supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be 18 years of age or older and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A valid driver’s license is required and basic knowledge of golf cart is helpful. Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related training and / or experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and be a self starter.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills in all units of measure, using numbers, fractions, and decimals.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unaided, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds with assistance, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
