No other organisation can address the scale, precision, pace and trust that this demands, and we’re proud to support the global economy. We’re unique too. We were established to find a better way for the global financial community to move value – a reliable, safe and secure approach that the community can trust, completely. We’re always striving to be better and are constantly evolving in an ever-changing landscape, without undermining that trust. Five decades on, our vibrant community reflects the complexity and diversity of the financial ecosystem. We innovate diligently, test exhaustively, then implement fast. In a connected and exciting era, our mission has never been more relevant. Swift now has a presence in 200 countries and legal territories to serve a community of more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions. Job Summary As a Test Engineer Intern within the Standards Enablement Services (SES) team at SWIFT, you will gain hands‑on experience contributing to the quality and reliability of the MyStandards Platform, a key solution for the publication and management of financial standards. You will work closely with experienced test engineers and developers to support testing activities, improve quality assurance practices, and help ensure robust, reliable delivery of standards‑related services used across the financial industry. Job Responsibilities Contribute to test automation activities for the MyStandards Platform, working under the guidance of senior QA engineers. Support the development, execution, and maintenance of automated test cases as part of the team’s quality assurance strategy. Assist with functional and regression testing, using a mix of automated and manual approaches. Learn and apply existing testing frameworks, tools, and best practices used within the team. Help identify, document, and track software defects using established bug‑tracking tools. Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to understand requirements, expected behaviours, and automation needs for new features. Participate in daily stand‑ups and team meetings as part of an agile, cross‑functional team. Job Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical programming experience). Basic programming knowledge is required; candidates must be comfortable reading and writing simple code. Familiarity with Linux or system‑level concepts is a plus. Strong interest in software testing, quality assurance, and test automation. Willingness to learn, communicate, and work closely with senior engineers (e.g. pairing), and grow technical skills through hands‑on experience. Self‑motivated and accountable in a hybrid/work‑from‑home (WFH) working environment. What we offer We give you the freedom to be yourself. We are creating an environment of unique individuals – like you – with different perspectives on the financial industry and the world. A diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone’s voice counts and where you can reach your full potential. We are committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process.
