Job Title: Infant / Float Teacher
Location: Swift Start Preschool Springfield, OR
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $17/hr (DOE)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, flexible, and caring Infant / Float Teacher to join our team. This role primarily supports our infant classroom while also assisting in other classrooms as needed. The ideal candidate is adaptable, attentive, and passionate about supporting children at all developmental stages.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Support daily routines and maintain a safe, clean classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Float between classrooms as needed to maintain ratio and support staff breaks
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
- Maintain accurate records (feeding logs, diapering, incident reports, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Experience working with infants and/or young children preferred
- Knowledge of child development and appropriate practices
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing classroom needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must meet all state licensing requirements (background check, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable sitting on the floor, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to respond quickly to children’s needs
