Debt Negotiations Manager
A Debt Negotiations Manager leads debt negotiators, creates negotiation strategies, ensures legal compliance, monitors team performance, handles complex cases, and coordinates with creditors and internal teams to reach debt resolution targets.
Responsibilities
- Team Management and Leadership: Lead, train, coach, and provide performance feedback to a team of debt negotiators or collectors.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective negotiation and collection strategies to maximize settlement success rates.
- Case Management and Resolution: Handle escalated or complex negotiation issues and serve as the primary point of contact for difficult creditor matters or high-value accounts.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all team activities adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics, settlement timelines, and portfolio outcomes, reporting progress and insights to senior management.
- Creditor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with creditors, collection agencies, debt buyers, and legal channels.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collections, debt settlement, or related financial services role, with previous experience in a leadership or management position.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities to achieve mutually acceptable agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of debt relief options, financial principles, and industry-specific laws.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms - collection of management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation of $ 80,000- 100,000
