Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000 yearly

How You Will Make an Impact
Our customer base seeks luxury, value, and world-class service. As the Engagement Team Lead, you will lead the engagement team in our growing People and Culture department. You will directly impact whether we become a favorite place to work by improving processes, supporting employees across the organization, and increasing employee engagement.
What Winning Looks Like:
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Provides exceptional leadership to the Engagement team in our People & Culture department.
- Oversees interviews and candidate selection for the Engagement team.
- Implements, administers, and improves employee policies and promotes positive employee relations.
- Provides advice and consultation for front-line employees regarding benefits, policy interpretations, leaves of absence, FMLA, and workman’s compensation claims.
- Be well-versed in laws and regulations regarding hiring and firing.
- Provides training and support to other team members of the People & Culture department.
- Consults with managers and supervisors regarding employee discipline and performance issues. Ensures corrective employee coaching and counseling are handled in a fair and consistent manner in line with company values.
- Supports decision making related to terminations and handles termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters.
- Investigates workplace incidents including claims of harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
- Provides input and drives dialogue regarding employee reasonable accommodation requests/decisions.
- Proactively interacts and communicates with Managers and employees in the dealerships and shared services office.
- Supports the process of performance reviews, employee counseling, and performance plans. Ensures that any written communication directed to employees is legal, fair, consistent, in line with company values, and follows the progressive discipline policy.
- Attends a variety of special project, operational and department staff meetings.
- Guides the development of a community relations program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Needed to Win:
- 3 years of Human Resources management experience in a large-scale fast paced HR environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of employee relations and staffing
- Strong decision-making skills
- Knowledge of and experience with conflict management
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in software like MS Office and Google Docs
- Paylocity HRIS experience is a plus
