Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Assist physicians during pain management procedures, including injections, nerve blocks, and other treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Take and document patient vitals, pain assessments, and medical histories.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication regimens, and follow-up care.
- Perform basic care and assist in post-procedure monitoring.
- Handle specimens for laboratory testing when needed.
- Sen out referral and radiology orders
- Submit medication prior authorizations
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices related to pain management.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Empathy and patience in working with individuals experiencing chronic pain.
